Of the twenty I've read, Pratchett's greatest. The time travel, the dark look at revolution, the skewering of humans and humanity, the questions about justice without easy answers, the serious side of some normally comic characters, Vimes and Vetinari, the lilac payoff...Man, I love this book.

I'm pretty blown away. I finished this book several days ago, yet I keep going back to reread favorite parts (i.e the whole book). Sam Vimes is possibly my favorite Discworld character, and it's fantastic to be reminded again of just how far he's come. And what a terrific villain Carcer is, the Joke
