Upside Down Pizza

Yield: Feeds 6
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • to taste: garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt and pepper
  • 15.5 oz. pizza sauce
  • 1 lb. cooked crumbled bacon
  • additional desired toppings
  • 8-12 oz. grated mozzarella and cheddar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. flour
  • parmesan cheese
  1. Brown beef and onion, sprinkling with seasonings while cooking. Drain grease. Mix in pizza sauce, bacon and any other desired toppings. Pour into a greased 9x13" pan and sprinkle with mozzarella and cheddar.* Heat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, salt and flour. Pour over cheese in pan and sprinkle with parmesan. Bake 30-40 minutes, broiling last minute or two for a crispier crust.
*Dish can be prepared ahead of time and left in fridge up to this point.
