Simple Chili

Yield: 3-4 servings
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • water
  1. Cook beef and onion; drain grease. Add all remaining ingredients except water and simmer 15 minutes.
  2. Add water to obtain desired consistency and heat through. Serve.
This tastes good made as directed, but is also quite flexible. You could add corn, rice and/or cheese to make it even heartier.
