Cinnamon Candy

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2-2 tsp. cinnamon flavoring
  • red food coloring as desired
  1. Stir sugar, syrup and water over low heat to dissolve sugar. Bring to a boil and cook to 290 degrees (do not stir). Remove from heat and stir in flavoring and coloring. Pour out onto greased marble slab, or medium baking sheet covered in aluminum foil. While it cools, run pizza cutter through candy continuously to cut squares. When fully cooled, break into squares and peel off foil. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
A wonderful pick-me-up. Don't let any touch your lips, or it'll burn them!
